If you’re staying in Clearwater and want to stay local but prefer a quieter, more laid-back beach day, I highly recommend North Beach, located on the north end of Clearwater Beach.

The hotel, parking lot, and beach were private, requiring us to wear wristbands the entire stay. This was great because the only ones allowed on the property were guests of the hotel. We had an ocean view room with a balcony overlooking the beach. It was so convenient if you chose to ride the Jolley Trolley to various locations (even as far as Dunelin and Tarpon Springs) rather than driving. Various restaurants and shops were located nearby, and Evy's Terrace on the property served great food and drinks and overlooked the beach.
